Decoding Children’s Behaviors: Practical Tips published – free copies distributed to 200-plus participants of the Seminar on the Latest Development of Early Intervention and Diagnosis for Autistic Children

The captioned event jointly held by Heep Hong Society, the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and Hong Kong Early Childhood Development Research Foundation on 3 July drew more than 200 parents and fellow practitioners. Speakers from different professions including pediatrician, clinical psychologists, rehabilitation professional and professor in related discipline shared their latest research findings and clinical experiences on the development of early diagnosis of autism, training strategies and support services in the community with all the participants.

Each participant received a complementary copy of Decoding Children’s Behaviors: Practical Tips newly published by Heep Hong Society. The book throws light on characteristics and common behavioral problems of children with autism, and provides parents and teachers with corresponding coping strategies through 30 authentic cases took place in schools, public areas and at home. The coping strategies recommended in the case studies are also applicable to children in general. The book was funded by the Partnership Fund for The Disadvantaged, and free copies will be distributed at workshops or seminars organized by Heep Hong Society.
