Research Team of 'I-Move-to-Learn' Met with Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development

Ms Lily Yuen, Senior Physiotherapist of Heep Hong Society, met with Mr Gregory So Kam-leung, the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development of HKSAR Government, on 11 December 2013 to introduce the ‘I-Move-to-Learn’ Game DVD developed the physiotherapists of Heep Hong Society and demonstrate how the integration of interactive technology into professional training could benefit children in need in the hope that more funding could be appropriated by the authorities for the purpose in future. Participants in the meeting also included Mr William Chan from Starwish Little Prince Studio Limited, and Dr Elizabeth Quat, a Legislative Council Member.

The ‘I-Move-to-Learn’ game DVD outperformed 461 entries from 160 countries and was named‘The WSA Global Champion 2013’ in the ‘e-Health & Environment’ category of The World Summit Award (WSA), which is the global follow-up initiative of the United Nations World Summit on Information Society organised by the International Center for New Media. WSA selects and promotes the world's best e-Content and innovative ICT applications. There are eight categories under WSA and a global champion is selected from the top five winners of each category.

The ‘I-Move-to-Learn’ game DVD developed by physiotherapists of Heep Hong Society is the first game-based virtual reality multi-purpose motor training programme for children with motor delay and coordination problems.
