Habibi’s Ancient Egyptian Charity Dinner for Heep Hong

As the first Heep Hong Event of 2011 to celebrate the 20th Great Chefs, Habibi will host a marvelous evening of ancient Egyptian cuisine and traditional entertainment – and all in aid of charity with 25% of the evening’s proceeds going to Heep Hong Society. The extensive, one-off menu includes impressive dishes such as bread and tomato soup flavoured with sumac, whole baked lamb marinated in Egyptian spices, and whole seabass served with braised vegetables and harissa. Traditional favorites such as falafel, tabbouleh and babaganoush also star as well as some unusual desserts. Details are as follows:
